EMASEME AB

EMASEME AB’s focus is to partner with airports to optimize their safety, performance, and efficiency. 
EMASEME AB – a joint venture company between Runway Safe and KIBAG, offers Runway Safe’s EMAS solutions to support airports in the EMEA region. 

The company combines in depth skills, expertise and experience from both owner companies, allowing EMASEME to support airports with a unique and proven product line of arrestor beds (EMAS) in the EMEA market.

  • EMASEME is owned 50/50 by KIBAG and Runway Safe.
  • Swedish registered company based in Gothenburg.

RUNWAY SAFE

Runway Safe Group is a fast-growing entrepreneurial company that specializes in runway safety – saving lives, and assets, in the event of an aircraft overrun. Runway Safe enable airports to optimize their runway performance and ensure new traffic opportunities. Their Engineered Material Arresting System (EMAS), a passive safety system, quickly de-accelerates an aircraft and brings it to a safe stop in case of an overrun.


Runway Safe has played an instrumental part in providing airports around the world with solutions to their challenging runway safety requirements.
With offices in Europe, North America, and Asia, and headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, and a US Regional headquarter in Logan Township, New Jersey – their mission is to save human lives by protecting assets and infrastructure worldwide.

KIBAG

KIBAG is a leading Swiss company in the building materials and construction sector and was formed in 1926 from the merger of two gravel and dredging companies. Today, KIBAG includes 14 gravel plants, 3 quarries and 25 concrete plants, as well as 17 construction companies in the road and civil engineering sectors and specialties. Several recycling and waste disposal companies as well as service providers from the leisure sector complete the picture. 

In total, the company employs around 1,800 people, mainly in the three business units Building Materials, Construction Services, and Environment and Waste Management. Together, these businesses form a strong team that stands for expertise, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and dependability in the Swiss construction industry.
